Activity Logs Dashboard

Activity Logs provide historical detail of recent Asset Vision user activities that have occurred within the system. This audit trail records essential information regarding changes made to Asset Vision, including WHO made WHAT change to WHICH configuration, and WHEN it was done. It also provides Asset Vision login information, as well as user and user role changes made.

The main Activity Logs node provides a dashboard that shows:

  • Recent Activity by Category: The number of audited activities that have occurred for a given category of activity, such as UI login, PAD changes, and data view modifications.
  • Recent Activity by User: Shows the number of audited activities based on logged-in user. Here, one can easily see which users have been the most active within the system.

Audit Data

The Audit Data log is the main list of user activity within Asset Vision. Consider this the specific Audit Log for the entire system. It provides activity information such as:

  • The date/time of the activity.
  • The Asset Vision user under whom the activity occurred.
  • Details about the activity, including the before and after states of changes made, the nature of the activity, etc.
  • What the operation was: Create, Update, Execute, etc.
  • The Catagory (type of activity).
  • Where the activity occurred within the UI, and any tables that were affected.
