Asset Vision® Overview

This lesson provides a brief overview of Asset Vision.  Follow the links included in the steps below to view more detailed product information.

In the absence of robust, agile software asset management tools, organizations waste a significant amount of their IT funding each year on unneeded license procurement and maintenance agreements for unused licenses.

Asset Vision is an innovative, unified Cloud-based IT Cost Optimization solution.

These are some of Asset Vision's main sections:

  1. Registry: Asset Vision Registry enables agentless discovery of devices and endpoints whether they are on- or off-network, on-premise or in the Cloud, virtualized or clustered. With it, IT can rapidly, automatically create a single, accurate 360° view of all IT assets across the estate.
  2. Optimize: Asset Vision Optimize enables IT to know, precisely and in almost forensic detail, how often applications are used, and who is using those applications. This means IT can radically cut costs by rationalizing and recycling software licenses based on usage, enabling the promise of IT Cost Optimization to become reality.
  3. Client Manager: Asset Vision Client Manager enables the non-intrusive management, configuration, and securing of on- and off-network endpoint devices. It helps IT support BYOD initiatives while integrating seamlessly with other Asset Vision modules.
  4. License Manager: The main purpose of the License Manager application is to allow a Software Asset Manager (SAM) to manage software licenses across an organization.
