How Do I Get a Registry from a Machine?
This lesson will walk you through the steps to get a registry from a machine to send to Scalable support.
Run regedit
Click on the start menu and type regedit in the search box. Â Click on regedit.exe to run the program.

Export Registry
Select: Â File > Export
Save Registry Export File
- Type a name for the registry export file.
- For Save as type: choose Text Files (*.txt).
- Make sure All is selected for Export range.
- Choose a location to save the file and click the Save button.
Compress (zip) File Before Sending File to Scalable Support
To compress the registry export file, right-click on the file and select Send to > Compressed (zipped) folder.
Send the Compressed File to Scalable Support
Send the resulting .zip file to Scalable Support
