How to Setup an IP Range

This is a step-by-step approach to setting up IP ranges. IP ranges define groups of IP addresses that you want to allocate to a single scan job.  For any scans to be successful, there needs to be target devices to scan.

  2. Description (optional) - Additional descriptive information about the IP range
  3. Predefined ranges (optional) - Defaults to "none", unless you want to scan subnets
  4. Included Ranges (required) - IP ranges, written in standard notations, separated by semi-colons. (Recommend using class C range sets)
  5. Excluded Ranges (optional) - IP ranges, written in standard notations, separated by semi-colons.  IP address or ranges that are part of included ranges to omit from scan.
  6. Save - Click to save your IP range settings
