Managing Alerts and Notifications

Automated and configurable alerting functionality was designed to help provide a more proactive communication mechanism for designated users and managers of Asset Vision. It allows you to define when important conditions exist in the environment, in which Asset Vision will email the interested parties when the conditions are met.

Alert Condition

Configure the Alert Condition type, data view required, and any filter options:

  1. Alert Condition Type
    • Filter matches - Notify whenever number of records matching filter is greater than the threshold
    • Filter Matches Increased - Notify whenever the number of records matching filter increases since last check.
    • Filter Matches Decreased - Notify whenever the number of records matching filter decreases since last check.
    • Column Change - Notify whenever a value changes for a column on any records matching filter.
  2. Data View - A selection of data views that have been enabled for alerts.  If additional data views are required, please contact Scalable Support to review a data view for alert eligibility. A Data View Description will appear here if there is a Description defined for the dataview.
  3. Threshold - Whenever Filter Matches is chosen as the type, this determines the threshold that initiates the alert. This field becomes Column:, with a drop-down of available columns, whenever the Column Change Alert Condition Type is selected.
  4. Filter - Filter of the records returned by the Data View, and therefore considered by the Alert Condition Type.
