How to Access the PAD Logs

This lesson explains how to access and check the PAD logs. If you encounter problems with your PAD Server and contact Scalable support you may be asked to send in the log files for your PAD Server.  This lesson will walk you through the process of finding the log files on the machine, running the PAD, and how to send them to Scalable support.

Navigate to PAD Server Log Files

Navigate to: Local Disk (C:) > Program Files > Scalable Software > PAD Server > log. This is the default location for where the PAD Server logs are located.

Capture Appropriate Log Files

  1. Select both the pad.log and wrapper.log files.  To select multiple files you can use Ctrl and click.
  2. Select Send to
  3. Select Compressed (zipped) folder

Save Compressed Folder to Desktop

Windows may prompt you that to save the files on your desktop instead of the current directory. Click Yes to continue.

Compose an email to your Scalable support contact and attach this file to your email.
