How to Map an IP to a Location

IP to Location Mapping involves associating an IP range with a geographical location. This mapping will populate the Location field on the computer records that have IP Addresses in the range of a mapped location. This article will explain how to setup and implement IP to Location mapping from within the Asset Vision instance.

The inferred location of a device is populated when that device record has an empty location field. If a device's location does not have an IP to Location mapping then that location will be empty.
