Scan Job Categories and Types
An Asset Vision Scan Job combines all of the elements necessary to discover information about an organization. It can be configured to scan or query a number of internal and external data sources as well as scan individual internal devices. To help organize these elements, they have been grouped by Job Types within Job Categories.
Categories and Types Outline
Scan Jobs are grouped into three main categories, each containing related Job Types:
Network Devices
- Discoverable Devices (Windows, Unix, Virtualization, etc.)
- Devices from Stand Alone Scan files
- Cisco Unified Computing Systems (UCS)
- Google Chromebooks from Google Directory
- Device from Active Directory (LDAP)
- Devices from Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
Databases and Services
- Generic Network Services
- Oracle Databases
- SQL Server Databases
Applications and Licenses
- Users from Active Directory (LDAP)
- Office 365 Application from Azure AD
- Salesforce Applications
- Google Apps from Google Directory
- Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Applications
