How to Remotely Reset a Device Passcode

This lesson explains how to remotely reset the device passcode on an enrolled device.

Navigate to iOS Devices

Navigate to Devices > Apple Clients > By Status > Currently Enrolled > iOS Devices.

Clear Passcode

Clear Passcode
  1. Select the device you wish to reset the passcode for and right-click it.
  2. Click Clear Passcode on the context menu pop-up.

Confirm Clear Passcode

Confirm Clear Passcode
  1. Select Yes to remove the passcode from the device. The user will be asked to enter a new passcode with a preset amount of time (this depends on the passcode grace period for the device).
