Apple iDevice profiles are used to specify certain configurations of Apple iPhones and iPads. The image above is an example of the kinds of configuration settings a profile can influence. This example shows the Restrictions that can be placed on a device use. It is perfectly possible to set these restrictions manually, via the device User Interface, however device profiles enable these settings to be made remotely via Asset Vision.

The example above shows some of the Restriction options however device profiles can be used to configure additional device settings such as email, wifi, VPN, passocdes, webclips and many others. The screen below is the Asset Vision configuration profile manager, and it illustrates the range of options available.

The Asset Vision profile menu is located at Client Manager > Devices > Profiles.
