This release adds two enhancements to SQL Server Discovery and Inventory.

The SQL Server inventory probe has been extended to detect reporting, analysis, and integration services. This extends the existing the existing SQL Server probe to collect the data shown in the list below on the SQL Server Services menu/table:

- Clustered (true/false switch)
- Related Instance
- Service Name

For SQL Server discovery we have added the ability to discover SQL Servers using LDAP instead of using an NMAP scan. The LDAP probe for SQL Server harvests the SQL Server registrations from AD, and then uses those registrations to run the normal WMI SQL Server probe sequence on any “active” computers registered to AD. This option is currently only available under the Advanced Setup menu. Please contact Scalable Support for further details.
