We have added a new field for computers that allows you to designate an environment such as Test, Quality Assurance, Production, etc.  Beyond basic hardware asset management needs for this designation, the environment can impact whether or not you are liable for licensing the software installed and running on a computer.  To that end, we have also incorporated the device environment as part of the License Liability calculation in Registry. As part of this release, you can see the environment field added to standard reports in Registry, Optimize, and License Manager, as well the capability to add the field to any additional or custom reports. This feature will help clarify your true software license liability, especially for expensive server-based software.
