We have updated the Licensable Inventory report in Asset Vision Registry with the more mature and thorough solution generally used by our License Manager module. In the past, Registry identified licensable software by using the Calculate Licensable Inventory report under Discovered Software.  This was tailored to installation-based software and limited in the ability to extend the license rules used to assess liability.  To make use of these improvements, browse to the Licensable Inventory section under Discovered Software to review the liability report that is recalculated nightly.  This report includes the number of detected installations and the resulting SKUs that may need to be purchased to cover the license liability.  When combined with exception reports affecting the liability assessment, you are on your way to managing that cost and audit risk within your environment.
