NEW for October 2018

2019 User Experience -- beta release now available

After an in-depth assessment and feedback process involving many of you, the new Asset Vision User Experience is ready for beta evaluation. With this release, we will be enabling the new user interface for several customers for assessment and feedback.  This new topic-based Information Architecture provides a more intuitive way to access your Asset Vision data.  We’re confident that the updated look and feel will improve your experience and help to get you the data you desire more quickly. Dependent upon input from the beta evaluators, the full release may be available as soon as the end of the year.

If you are not currently part of the beta program and would like to be involved, please contact us at [email protected], as we would truly value your input.

AWS/Azure Infrastructure -- Additional menus and functionality

In our last release, we added new probes to directly collect key associated data on your infrastructure via the Azure and AWS support APIs. This gave you the ability to enrich your records of server hardware and software inventory with details of leased instances, reservation details, charging models and more.  This current release adds an enhanced set of menus and dashboards to present this data in a more intuitive manner and to deliver key metrics front and center. This feature is currently enabled on request for customers using Asset Vision Server capabilities.  Please reach out to your Scalable representative if you are interested.

Machine Inventory - Dashboard natively consider device status

Asset Vision has long included an in-depth status management function to ensure that the full lifecycle of devices can be effectively managed. Implementation has often been guided by Scalable services and included modification of required reports and views to take account of these statuses and display only the machines relevant to a given situation.

Starting with this release, many of the native views, reports and dashboards will include this filtering by default, giving customers faster results and a greater clarity of their current asset landscape. If you are yet to implement status management and would like to learn more, this Asset Vision Screensteps -Status Management is a great place to start.

MDM - Enhancements to App and Group Management

The option to manage iOS and Android devices is increasingly popular among Asset Vision customers. Effective and simple control of some of the many app and group management options available has been at the top of the wish list from customers. A number of changes and enhancements appear in this release to ensure that management is slicker, and the right data is more easily accessible.

If you are interested in exploring Asset Vision’s MDM capabilities for yourself, please contact your Scalable representative to arrange a demonstration.
