How to Mark a License Position as Current LP

Users can generate as many timestamped License Positions as they like, but only one License Position is considered the Current LP which is what is used for reporting in the Manage > Summary dashboard and data-views.

This lesson will describe how to mark a license position as the current license position.

Navigate to View License Positions Menu and Right-Click on a License Position Record
  1. Navigate to Licenses Owned > Current License Position > View License Positions.
  2. The most recently generated license position is automatically set as Current LP, which is what determines what Licenses are Owned. Right-clicking on a license position record allows the user to change that record to the Current LP.

Users are also able to delete a license position as well. Right-click on a license position and click Delete License Position to delete the license position with matching Timestamp (All license position records with same generated timestamp are deleted so that no individual license position records are orphaned).
